This statement reportedly adopting this code will bring an advance of reports in some of society's most vulnerable sectors.
It also mentions the rights of women, children, and LGBTI.
Here you have the complete communique:
The Civil Code will regulate modern legal concepts regarding contractual obligations, property rights, family relations and inheritance rights. The Civil Code brings a very necessary advance in the development of business relations and in the situation of some of the most vulnerable sectors of Kosovo society, especially women and children, as well as LGBTI persons. Children's rights have been advanced in text by determining that the competent organ always decides on their interest. Also clarified are the provisions regarding dealing with abandoned children or without parental attention, as well as the right to listen at age 6. When it comes to gender equality, the mate's common wealth will be equal (50 to 50). To avoid juvenile marriages, marriage under the age of 18 is prohibited, as recommended in EU countries. Women are entitled to equal and transparent procedures regarding divorce and inheritance before swimmers and courts”. / PERISCOP
