The deadlock comes as the media are considered to be controlled by the Kremlin and contain considerable dezinforms.
“We are developing tools to prevent their toxic and harmful deinformation in Europe”, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen warned days earlier.
The decision comes as part of sanctions the West is taking against Russian President Vladimir Putin, who launched the attack on the invasion of Ukraine.
