All employees in the office of former Schröder (SPD) in Bundestag have resigned.

Albrecht Funk, former manager of the Chancellor's office, who was once begging for the script of Schröder's speeches, resigned after 20 years of work in this office, suggests German media.

Funk has declined to comment on the reasons, though different opinions about the Ukraine-Russia war are considered triggerers.

Former Chancellor Schroeder is also refusing to give up his posts in Russian energy companies after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, despite calls from his party leadership, the SPD.
