285 thousand citizens watched a Periscop video, conducted in April 2021, with pensioners. This video was made at the time when Kurti Government had lowered pensioners' additions for 20 euros less.
Among the pensioners was one named Behxhet Reka. He named Kurti Government a government of interns.
Scandalosis. The government of interns. Without experience, this is terrible. The pension is raising the fund. That I don't know, it's the government of waste”, Mr. Behxhet Reka.
Since this statement, the naming of Kurti Government as a government of interns has begun to enter Kosovo public record.
We have often heard this later, even in various Kosovo Assembly sessions by opposition deputies.
Lumir Abdixhiku, chairman of the LDK, reminded us yesterday that Mr. Behxhet Reka's license of expression.
Mr. Abdixhik, in a letter published yesterday on Facebook, criticised the intern government that by the time prices are rising in record time, the Government has dismissed the Competition Authority.
The price of oil goes up in the world record, because the obsessions of the cheats can control them. There is no one to check because on one side state inspectors are nowhere; on the other, the Competition Authority is paralyzed and unfunctional. Today is 10 months since Kurti's intern government has left this institution without Bord, subsequently without people starting investigations or making crisis decisions like today”, Obadiah wrote yesterday.
How were the additions dropped for pensioners?
In April 2021, the Kurti Government had dropped the additions of pensioners, meaning that it had taken 20 euros away from money compared to the previous three months (as pensioners received).
Thus, Kurti had empowered former Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti's decision, under which pensioners would receive an additional 30 euros on basic pension.
Such a decision had sparked sharp reactions among especially pensioners who had heard Kurt's recent promises as an opposition campaigning to take power, with the promise highlighted in improving social schemes.
Before becoming prime minister, Kurti had promised to double minimum pensions. /Periscopi/
