The company said through a statement that the line -- which also supplies the town of Slavusic -- has been again damaged by Russian forces, as Ukrenergo's crew has repaired it.
The thermal power plant has completely disconnected from the power grid last week.
This disruption has endangered some 20 tons of nuclear waste, which must be constantly cooled to prevent their flow from being washed out of the plant, located about 60 miles [100 km] from Ukraine's capital, Kiev.
Last week, emergency generators were activated immediately.
Russian forces took control of Chernobyl shortly after the Russian state began invasion of Ukraine on February 24th.
Ukrenergo requested access to the area to make repairs.
Ukrenergo said Chernobyl “is an important facility, which cannot be left without reliable power supply”.
