French President Emmanuel Macron has spoken on the phone again with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in a conversation that lasted an hour and 45 minutes, the French presidency said.
A French official said he still had details of what was spoken between the two leaders, but that after that the Macroni impression call was that Putin intended to take all of Ukraine, the BBC reports, the Express broadcasts.
Macro is among the world leaders who have talked to Putin in recent days, hoping to mediate a ceasefire in Ukraine.
This Sunday, Putin has also spoken with Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan, who has called for urgent interruption of the hostilities.
According to Kremlin, Putin has told Erdogan that Ukrainian negotiators should have a “more constructive approach” in the talks.
“U noted that the suspension of the special operation is possible only if Kiev bans military operations and meets the known Russian demands”, the Kremlin said.
Russia calls its aggression in Ukraine a “special operation”.
