This is the second wave of expulsions by Russian diplomats from Bulgaria, with two expelled on March 2nd amid allegations that they were involved in spying.
Bulgaria was Moscow's closest ally during the Cold War, but now a member of the European Union and NATO, it has condemned the invasion of Ukraine, writes Skynews.
In a statement on its website, the Foreign Ministry said Prime Minister Kiril Petkov had consulted the expulsions, and the Russian ambassador to Sofia had been informed.
