“What is happening in Ukraine puts the Kremlin in the same category as some other terrorist organisations like Al Qaeda, who are engaged in places to kill civilians, destroy property such as schools, hospitals and this will be even worse because Putin has pledged to control Ukraine or even destroy it”, Bugajski said in a direct connection to RTK.
He has said that the West in this case has not done enough because it has not armed Ukrainians enough and the consequences are already being seen.
Anyway, NATO has offered weapons, there are volunteers who are keying in this war, then all these sanctions against Russia. NATO has calculated these things, but I understand no reaction on the battlefield. The question is whether Ukraine will be any further or it will be another country. I think it has to do a lot more to supply Ukrainians with planes and warships that they need to destroy as many Russian arteries as possible, their planes and infantry. So it's supposed to be more, but maybe it's not too late yet, said Bugajski.
According to him, there are many things happening simultaneously within Russia and that the situation will become interesting in the coming weeks. However, he does not expect the current Western commitment to halt Russian aggression against Ukraine.
I don't expect this to happen in the short term. Putin is either committed to invade or destroy Ukraine. It would be good to destroy as much as possible the Russian economy and military so that Russia's people can rise up against Putin's regime. If that does not happen then many Russians will suffer extremely much as a result of the return of revenge against the Russian economy”, Bugajski said.
He has said that the current situation in Ukraine and the danger threatening other countries is a good opportunity for Kosovo to infiltrate international bodies in order to be a safer place.
“is the right moment for Kosovo's NATO membership in the European Union, the Council of Europe, in any institution that can strengthen Kosovo's security. I consider it time to recognise Kosovo. Already Turkey and Croatia have supported Kosovo's membership in these mechanisms. Now is the right time to see what Kosovo is doing to increase membership in Euro-Atlantic institutions”, Bugajski said.
