In a recent proposal from Brussels, Beden said he would be lucky if the rival he defeated in 2020, Donald Trump, reruned against him.
Asked if American foreign policy would remain unchanged if someone else became president, Biden referred to Trump when he said: “I would be very lucky if in the upcoming elections I had the same person”.
Trump has not officially announced the candidacy for a second term, but remains the most popular figure from the ranks of the Republican Party in the US and has hinted several times he intends to race to return to the White House. He has often criticised his successor for what is happening in Ukraine and claims that if he were president, Putin would never have invaded the neighbouring country.
