This is one of the largest massacres committed by Serb paramilitary forces, who in 1999 launched a vicious offensive to the population of Irzniqi and Beleg, a day after they suffered losses from the Kosovo Liberation Army.
To this day, the fate of 33 of this village's people remains unresolved.
