He says Austria is a strong supporter and that these two Balkan countries are alone in this direction.
It is important that the existing conflicts be resolved, so open questions are closed. Of what has happened so far, more is needed in politics, even EU politics. We define problems and find solutions in an environment that enables this. Austria's policy, like Germany's, is a good catalyst to find common solutions”.
Nehammer said Austria has a large contingent of troops in Kosovo, as well as Bosnia.
This is a peace mission and a sign, as if it is EuroFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is important to us that both Bosnia and Kosovo should know that they are alone. So if there are threats, someone will see, so also respond quickly to these threats. This friendship and relationship, they're just words, but concrete policy”.
He also said that it should observe the negative influences that may be between Kosovo and Serbia, and that this could become “in the light of international organisations”.
The Austrian Chancellor said that now is the moment to implement integration processes for the Western Balkans and that there should be delays as if there were.
