Oleh Ustenko, said this is possible if the Russian invasion that is now introduced on the 24th day continues, transmits Telegrafi.
“Ukraine has enough grain reserves to survive for one year, but if the war continues... (Ukraina) will not be able to export wheat to the world and there will be big problems”, he added.
Ukraine is the world's fifth largest wheat exporter, and has been warned that if the conflict continues, it could create a global crisis to ensure sufficient food.
This is particularly a concern for the Middle East and North Africa, which consumes higher amounts of per capita wheat - about twice the world average.
