Kosovo's Special Prosecutor has filed charges against defendants with the M.A. initials, who is a resident Albanian in Belgrade.
This indictment has to do with the Skywright Town Izbica massacre, which occurred on March 28, 1999.
The suspect is in custody, according to the Court of Pre-Procedure ruling until a new verdict on the part of the court.
“Monthly investigations have confirmed that the M.A. defendant. Along with still unidentified persons of Serbian police and military forces, he has participated in the execution of 130 people, of whom 12 have survived. During the investigation phase, sufficient legal evidence has been provided to prove the well-based suspicion that the high-ranking defendant in co-ordination with other members of Serbian police and military forces has participated and contributed to the criminal work he is being charged with, said the prosecution's announcement.
The procurement reports that during the ongoing investigation, statements of over 100 witnesses and random injuries have been received, Klankosova.tv follows.
It is also known that material evidence has been provided as video recordings, autopsy reports, and other evidence that by March 28, 1999, innocent civilian populations were killed in the village of Izbiica.
The Special Prosecutor also reports that the Izbica Massacre investigation does not end with the establishment of this indictment, and investigations are still continuing to suspect other suspects, on securing other important materials to clarify the case.
Otherwise, there were 23 years yesterday since the Izbiyca of Skyright, where on March 28, 1999, Serb forces killed 147 young men and old men, while the rest expelled from Kosovo.
The massacre in Izbica enters the line of Serbia's worst crimes, where mass murder and body burial were made known through satellite images.
