US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Havenier has announced the removal of 150 Afghans from Kosovo to the US on Tuesday.
Hovier announced this through a post in his official account at Twitterı, announcing that the 150 have passed all requirements for security and health verification.
This morning, with Minister Jelal Svecla, we bid farewell to the 150 Afghans, previously hosted at Camp Liya/Bandshel. After passing all requests of security and medical verification, they are now on their way to the U.S., where they will start their new lives in new communities and houses”, it says in his post.
“We are deeply grateful and owe much to Kosovo that has offered temporary housing to these defenseless Afghans at the time they needed it. Your generosity not only saved lives, but it ensures that these Afghans and their families will have the opportunity to build new lives in the U.S.”, writes afterwards Havenier. / P ERISCOPIA
