The first call to take place today between British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Russian President Vladimir Putin was transferred to tomorrow after Prime Minister Johnson was obliged to appear in parliament as a result of the recently made charges against him of breaking restrictions during the pandemic.
On the other hand, the English prime minister is expected to meet with Ukraine's president, Voldymyr Zelenskiy, from which he will reconfirm his support to “the preservation of Ukraine's sovereignty”. The visit comes after US warnings that the invasion of Ukraine by Russia could occur at any moment and at the same time when Russia accuses the West of wanting war.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will hold a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov today, a day after the Security Council meeting from which Russia accused the West of increasing tensions, denying allegations that they are provoking the situation at the Ukrainian border.
