According to Culture and Information Minister in Serbia Maja Gojkovq, Deva “has prepared and committed crimes against Serbs and Jews”.
“This is a notorious Nazi co-ordinationist who was active in forming the SS Skenderbeu Division, known for preparing and committing crimes against the Serbian and Jewish population”, Gojkovic said, stressing that he has written to the responsible in the EU and UNDP on the issue.
The home of Albanian politician from Mitrovica, Xhafer Deva, has become a matter nearly 44 years after his death. Germany's ambassador to Pristina has opposed this restoration, recalling that Deva has been co-bortionist to the Nazis. But restoration has been under way for a week and is supported by the European Union's money, which is part of it.
