The project financed by the Government of Serbia has already taken the form that was on paper.
The works were carried out by Albanian companies, and the neighbourhood is expected soon to become residents.
Unlike homes, residential objects have already been filled with inhabitants.
But besides the neighborhood members, the introduction for other citizens is prohibited, reports RTV Dukajini.
This is not the only project in Kosovo financed by Serbia.
In recent years investments from Serbia have increased.
However, Serbia's government for these construction has never received permission from Kosovo institutions.
“You inform that by now the MMPH has not accepted any application for permission or consent for construction financed by the Government of Serbia in northern Kosovo municipalities. Consequently, no construction permits for III category objects have been issued so far in northern Kosovo municipalities”, said the Environment Ministry's response.
The Ministry doesn't show what the plan for these clean-up construction in Zvecan is.
Engineer Faruk Mujka, who is also the Vetvendosje Asamblist in Mitrovica, says these constructions from Serbia began to be added to the founding of the North Mitrovica municipality, maggraphed.
This is a very old problem, but it's been a big deal in 2013 when the northern municipality started operating. Unfortunately, only in the Bosnian Quarter we have about 40 such buildings built until 25 more were built but that have been recorded because of coronavirus”, Mujka said.
The Kosovo government had started several years earlier building the homes of displaced Albanians from Mitrovica because of the recent war, however, this project has been suspended for several years.
