The Social Democrat Party has reacted after the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina asked for a month of detention for PSD Chairman Dardan Moliqaj and activist Adem Megjuani.
According to the PSD, mass and peaceful protests were attacked from all sides.
“We just heard the prosecution asked for a month's detention for Dardan Moliqaj and Adem Megjuani. Massive and ended protest as peaceful was attacked on all sides to criminalize. The turn came to police with 60 members of the rapid reaction units to surround an arrested TV studio. The next link is the prosecution, who appointed 48 hours in custody and now requires 1 month detention”, says the party's announcement.
The PSD is saying that Albin Kurti's power is wanting to teach them lessons for the protest.
“The demand for a measure of detention constitutes the harshest possible provision for the prosecution. This first requirement, along with procedural and material violations likely along the process of deprivation of freedom, clearly shows that this entire criminal process is not motivated by the need to enforce the law. Clearly, the motives are political and vengeful. Acts of justice on such low motives are contrary to the rule of law that primarily upholds human freedoms and rights. Albin Kurti's power wants to teach us new lessons about protest. New lessons will give us!”, said in response.
