Kosovo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted after Russian media news and statements by Russian chief diplomat Sergei Lavrov that “Kosovo is sending mercenaries to Ukraine”.
MPJD has dismissed the agency's claims ASS and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo formally dismisses all claims of Russian news agency TASS and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that if “Kosovo and some other parts of the Western Balkans are becoming the ground for crime... ””, says reaction.
These statements, MPJD considers them part of the fierce Russian propaganda campaign.
“Let Russian Minister Lavrov and Russian news agency TASS inform that the Republic of Kosovo is prohibited by law (NR.05/L-002 ) the participation of its citizens in wars abroad and that this law envisions strict penalties for any of its citizens that could be part of such actions. This vicious Russian campaign against Kosovo and other Western Balkan countries, among other things, is aimed at straining the situation in Kosovo and the wider region via Russian satellite in the Balkans, Serbia. Kosovo's “Republic calls for lowering tension and avoidance of conflict, which could take on unpredictable size”, it says in response.
MPJD says Kosovo joins the democratic world in condemning Russian hegemonic and expensionist politics at the expense of Ukraine's sovereign and independent state.
