One killed and two wounded by shooting inside a church in the United States

Shots occurred in church “Faro De Luz” around 20 local time, the Police Department announced in Aurora. A police spokesman said some people were in church at the time of the shooting.

Two men have been sent to the hospital with gunshot injuries and are expected to survive, police said. A woman died at the scene, writes CNN, records The Express.

The suspect escaped from the church before police arrived, and security authorities said they are working to identify him.

Police spokesman said there is a link between the suspect and one of the victims, adding that no further details will be published for the time being.

On Friday evening, police began interviewing witnesses of the event.
