Joseph: Visit of Lajcak and Escobar Message for Brussels-Washington Partnership

American expert Joseph in an interview for Radio Free Europe stated that the joint visit of the US and EU emissaries is a clear goal to resume dialogue that has stalled after a long break and controversial events that followed during the fall.

“What the US and the EU can't achieve in dialogue within the framework that is now conceived, is what Serbia and Kosovo, as well as the region need a solution to the” dispute, he said.

Escobar and Lajcak met during the week with top officials of both countries. The main message was support and praise for Pristina and Belgrade for their readiness in dialogue and invitation to return to the negotiating table.

The date of the next meeting in Brussels is still unknown.
