Serbia's government has approved its request to NATO mission in Kosovo on Thursday, KFOR, for sending a number of security forces to Kosovo.
That decision was taken after the meeting the government of Serbia held, in which Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has participated.
Vuciq has said the request will be submitted to Thursday night in electronic form.
He has announced that she will surrender to KFOR commander Friday at the border checkpoint between Serbia and Kosovo.
In an interview for Serbia's Radio Television, Vucic has said it is clear that the request will be rejected.
KFOR has not responded to Radio Free Europe's request to comment on Serbia's request.
The United States envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has told Radio Free Europe that Kosovo has very strong security guarantees from the United States.
He has also stated that the US rejects and flatly rejects Serbia's request for its forces' return to Kosovo. / REL
