Canada had announced sanctions against 33 current or former Russian officials and six subjects involved in the <x0 systematic human rights violations” against citizens protesting the invasion of Ukraine, writes Skynews.
“In response to personal sanctions imposed by Otawa. 200 Canadian citizens have been denied access to reciprocal base”, the ministry said on its website.
Since Russia's conquest on February 24th, Canada has imposed sanctions on more than 1,500 individuals and subjects from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Earlier Friday, the Russian ministry said it had summoned Canada's ambassador to Moscow.
