Before the explosions, sirens were issued in Ukraine for warning of air strikes.
These attacks occurred two days after Russia launched one of the biggest air strikes since the beginning of Russian aggression, France24 reports.
Ukraine's president, Voldymyr Zelensky, has warned that Russia could continue with attacks, which Ukrainian “ta celebrate New Year's New Year in the darkness”.
