As Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Serbia, Vuciq ordered on December 26th that the army and all MPB units be at the highest level of combat readiness.
After that, the military transferred some of its capacities and forces to the area around Raska and Kursumlia, but there was no precise indication of what actions the state took.
Vuciq ordered the establishment of combat readiness situation in a situation when Serbs in northern Kosovo were in office at the barricades, but even after Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that he would remove the barricades if KFOR did not.
But today, after Vuciq agreed that the barricades would be removed due to the fulfillment of Serb conditions, a decision was made to conclude the state of war readiness.
Novica Antiq from Serbia's Military Union told Nova.rs at the time that around the land security area there were about 7,500 soldiers.
This means that the army needed food for all 7500 people. Besides, we've had whole units moving, so add fuel, hygiene maintenance, all this is cost to the state. Millions of dollars have been given for military exercises alone, and even now no less money is needed for this” operation, Novica Antic said.
