From Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo, where he has been hospitalised since November 29th, an update was given on his condition.
The patient continues to show improvement in his clinical state, especially with the respiratory infection”, the update reported.
The 82-year-old triple champion of the world, which is being treated for colon cancer, remains in a common room and is conscious of living signs.
Kelly Nascimento, one of Pele's daughters, returned to Brazil to monitor closely the condition of her father and Monday, from the hospital, she posted a photo.
According to his doctors, Pele was admitted to the hospital about two weeks ago to assess a change in the treatment of chemotherapy she has been subjected to since the removal of a colon tumor in September 2021.
Days later it was reported that he also suffered from a respiratory infection. The infection was born after the former footballer was contracted to Avid-19 a month ago, his daughters said.
The family has also denied media reports that Pele, considered by many as the biggest football player in history, is no longer responding to chemotherapy, causing his doctors to interrupt his treatment and transfer him to job care.
