Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said KFOR has asked for little time to remove the barricades and that they are waiting.
Kurti said he believes this is the best possible way to resolve the situation.
“KFOR is taking little time to get this job done quickly and we are waiting. If our wait for KFOR is soft, let it be called softness. But for the good of the answer, I believe, however, we are choosing the best possible path”, Kurti said at a news conference after the Security Council meeting.
Kurt called the roadblocks unacceptable until he said it should be repeated in the future.
He has called on KFOR to ensure freedom of movement for all.
We call once again on KFOR to guarantee freedom of movement. KFOR) in Kosovo is for a safe and secure environment, which includes freedom of movement indiscriminately. Blocking the movement, blocking public roads with heavy vehicles to prevent freedom of movement, by criminal gangs shooting at our police and EULEX police, not only is it unacceptable, but it also has to be inconsistent always in the future. So we're waiting”, Kurt said.
