Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tayan has spoken over the phone with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurtin and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
Taani has indicated that she has discussed tensions in the north with two leaders as she asked them to avoid unilateral action.
He added that tensions in the north endanger stability throughout the region.
“Tensions in northern Kosovo endanger stability in the region. I called President Vuciq and Prime Minister Kurti, asking them to avoid unilateral actions. Italy wants to be a protagonist of peace in the Balkans. Let us promote dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina”, Taani has written on Twitter.
