German MP: Salih Mustafa, harsh punishment

26 years in prison sentenced former member of KLA, Salih Mustafa, on the charge of war crimes.

This decision in Kosovo opinion was not welcomed, especially after the decision was given “on behalf of the people of Kosovo”.

German MP Knut Abraham also says this decision is severe.

The “is a harsh act of judgment, which certainly aroused the memory of terrible events that took place against Kosovo Albanians at the time, but also the suffering of many Serbs. I understand that in Kosovo these things are being discussed and that emotions are high”, Abraham said in an interview for the DW.

He finally recommended that the decision be accepted.

I would only advise, and that is true for me personally, that the Special Court's decision be accepted and, of course, observed how the court will work in other cases”, German MP Knut Abraham stressed.
