This decision has been argued by Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli, who asked MPs to support this decision in order to fully normalise the state of electricity.
“Taking into account the European energy crisis, which our country is also being affected by, in the function of overcoming this situation, the Kosovo Government proposes extending emergency measures for electricity supply with the aim of fully normalising the situation and taking additional measures and continuing existing measures. We will soon bring to the assembly an amendment to the law that allows us to extend measures for longer periods so that we can avoid the administrative burden for the assembly and government”, she stressed.
The PDK has criticised that the economy ministry is misusing the Law for extending emergency measures in energy supply.
