The European Parliament dismissed alleged corruption suspect Eva Kyle from the post of vice president today.
For early completion of the Greek MP's mandate, 625 MPs voted, one opposed, while two abstained.
To remove Kyle from the position of one of the 14 MEPs, the votes of two-thirds of the Eurodeputs were required.
Kyle was among four people arrested and indicted in Belgium over the weekend on charges Qatar had given them money and gifts to influence decision-making.
They're going to court tomorrow. Kyle has denied the charges, as did Qatar.
From Friday to yesterday, Belgian investigators conducted 20 raids due to the investigation into money laundering and corruption in the EP, the BBC reports.
