Belarus: Russian nuclear-powered missile systems are ready for use

The Iscander tactical missile systems and the S-400 air defence systems Russia has deployed in Belarus are fully ready to be used, a senior British Defence Ministry official has said, writes Euraciv. Our “soldiers, crews have fully completed their training in the common centers of combat training of the armed forces [...]
Our “soldiers, the crews have fully completed their training at the joint centers of the Russian Federation Armed Forces and the Republic of Belarus,” said Leonid Cassinsky.
It is not clear how many of the Iscarnder systems, which are capable of carrying nuclear weapons, have been deployed in Belarus after Russian President Vladimir Putin said in June that Moscow would supply Minsk with them and air defence systems.
The news comes amid Moscow's mounting pressure on Minsk to help invade Ukraine. Russian forces used Belarus as a starting point for their failed attack on the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, in February, and there has been a growing storm of Russian military activity and Belarus in recent months.
The S-400 system is a Russian mobile surveillance system of ground-air missiles (SAM) capable of including aircraft, UAV, navigation missiles and has a ballistic missile defence terminal.
