And an important but expected decision has come from this meeting. The Serbian list has decided to leave Kosovo institutions.
“We have decided to leave all political institutions, Parliament, Government, and the four municipalities in northern Kosovo, but also to remove Serbs from the judiciary, police as well as administrative staff in four municipalities in the north.“, Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakiq said after the meeting.
This meeting, called by the Serbia List, comes after the Kosovo institutions' decision to suspend Nenad Djuric, the Police Director for the northern region, after the same refused to implement the Kurti Government's decision on the license plates.
As reported in the media, all leaders of institutions operating in northern Kosovo, including police officers, courts and state prosecutors, participated in the meeting.
At this meeting, led by Goran Rakiq, chairman of the Serbian List, it was announced that the departure from the institutions would include the Government and the Assembly of Kosovo. In fact, it was Rakic himself who indicated that he has resigned from the post of ministry for Kthim and Communists in the government led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
But, from today the Serbian List will also boycott the Kosovo Assembly, represented by 10 deputies, as well as the seats reserved in the Assembly.
At the media conference, Rakiq announced that the decision to leave Kosovo institutions would be in effect until, according to Pristina to “starts respecting the agreements reached in Brussels”.
“That means, namely, until they withdraw unilateral and illegal decisions on reregisteration until they form the Association of Serbian municipalities, in line with the first agreement and all other agreements related to this issue in dialogue.”, Rakiq stressed. / REL/
