Cell wages: KKP deadline government to abolish decision by December 8th

Under the leadership of Chief Chief Justice Maloku, the KKP today has held an extraordinary meeting where it is discussed the Kosovo Government's decision on halved prosecutors' salaries.
Prosecutors chief prosecutors attended the meeting.
“At the start of this meeting, KPK members and chief prosecutors of the Republic of Kosovo a voice have assessed that today's decision by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is a constitutional and anti-legal decision, as well as flagrant interference in the independence of the prosecutorial system. At this meeting the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has made a decision calling for the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to immediately annul ruling No. 03/109 of November 23rd 2022”, the KPK's response reported.
In the meantime, the prosecutor's work will be reduced and will continue only with essential services, as well as the Council and prosecutors will suspend all forms of co-operation with representatives of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. If this decision is not abolished by December 08th, 2022, the Council will decide on other more radical measures”, it said.
