Beden, in the sent message, has said the US will support Albania on the road to the EU, adding that he expects them to deepen the partnership, including the fight against corruption and organised crime.
The United States will continue to support Albania on its path towards membership in the European Union. As we begin the coming century of our bilateral relations, I look forward to deepening our partnership further, including the fight against corruption and organised crime, strengthening energy security across Europe and strengthening cyber security co-operation”, Biden said.
According to Beden, this year marks the 100th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries a partnership that is ahead of bilateral prosperity, has helped preserve regional stability and strengthen global security.
” As NATO allies, our countries have also co-operated to keep the alliance strong, prepared and determined. And in the face of Russia's unjust and unprotested war against Ukraine, we have worked together at the UN Security Council to support the Ukrainian people, considering Russia responsible for aggression. Albania continues to be a humanitarian leader, ensuring the temporary shelter of Afghans and other groups”, it has added.
