This meeting has resulted without reaching an agreement on the license plate issue.
The second phase of the Targat decision went into effect tomorrow at 8:00, but political affairs connoisseurs in the country say it could cause tensions in the north.
“A decision must be made tonight by 24: 00 p.m. to suspend the fine decision or to proceed with that decision. If we continue with fines then we should be willing that we can have tensions in the north as Serbs will not accept such a”, the Political Science Wolvel said of Front Online. Dritro Arifi.
He said further that if the situation in the north is complicated the loss will be Kosovo.
Now the Government has great responsibility, it has to take everything calmly and to find a choice for this situation, any complications in the north lose only Kosovo so here is only a loser and that is Kosovo if we have tensions in the north”, he said.
As for today's meeting between Kurt and Vuciqi, Arifi said the issue of plates was not to be discussed in Brussels, but with the northern Serbs.
“On the issue of license plates has been known since the beginning that in any variant Kosovo would be the missing party because we already have an agreement on license plates with Serbia should not have been discussed on this topic with Serbia once again but had to with Serbs there”, he said.
