Osmani with the Portuguese delegation has discussed the Interstate reports and Portugal's support in the visa liberalisation process and membership in the Council of Europe.
The European Commission, according to Osmani, has recommended lifting visas for Kosovo, because Kosovo has met all criteria. Therefore, she says, political decision-making during the Czech Presidency is more than urgent and entry into the power of visa liberalisation should not remain hostage to any technicality.
Osmani has also talked about the importance of Kosovo's accession to the Council of Europe, where, according to her, membership in this organisation advances human freedoms and rights. In this context, she has thanked Portugal for its continued support.
A mutual willingness to exchange experiences and advance co-operation between the two parliaments was shown at the meeting, as well as in the area of foreign policy, defence, education, tourism and other areas of common interest.
