Ukrainian forces have fired four Russian missiles this morning, said the country's Air Force Command spokesman Yuri Ihnat, according to the BBC.
Missile attacks began at 7am, Ihnat said, adding that the Ukrainian Army used air defence systems to bring down the missiles.
Two of the missiles were destroyed over the Kiev region, the head of Kiev's regional military administration, Olexey Kuleba, said in a Twitter message.
