Shocking details by 12-year-old rape in Athens: Her mother is also arrested, suspected of taking “to” to her daughter's clients

Both defendants in the case, who so far have refused to take on any defence attorneys, have claimed in the investigator that they had sex with the girl, but do not admit that he was raped. The 42-year-old reportedly said he had contacted her more than once and that the money had been given to the girl and not to the 53-year-old.

For his part, the girl's mother's lawyer points to a terrible crime. “The reason for the arrest of the mother - he said - is that some phone messages were found that he exchanged with the accused. There were also two payments the child had made, received the mother's card and bank account, and the defendant had placed two amounts of 2025 euros there.

According to local media referring to unconfirmed police sources, it says that Greek organs are aware of at least 16 people expected to be arrested in the coming hours, as they appear to have had sex with 12-year-olds.
