Sėka EU for neither Kosovo-Serbia agreement without agreement, Cromon seeks to exploit the current transatlantic “

There is transatlantic unity and this is the unique window of opportunity, Euro-Deputer Violet von Cromon said, stressing the necessity of reaching an inclusive agreement on normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations. Cremon, in an interview for the Italian newspaper <x0news”, said that “cannot comment on the content or existence of a Franco-German plan” for dialogue, but said “is the initiative to welcome”.
Key European capitals -- Paris and Berlin, respectively, “ -- are currently engaged” in dialogue between Kosovo-Serbia, Cromon said, so also “needs the political drive of Kosovo-Serbia” dialogue.
The Eurodeput encourages the “parties to exploit” what it calls the unique “director of opportunity” to reach a comprehensive agreement for full normalisation of relations.
Without agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, Violet von Cromon says neither of the two states “will be able to join the European Union”.
Kosovo has announced that more recently until Christmas it will submit its application to the European Union, while Serbia has been a candidate state for EU membership, and that it has long opened several chapters in negotiations, Reporter.net writes.
However, Serbia has suffered significant declines in its credibility for EU membership, due to its failure to impose sanctions on the Russian Federation.
As an EU candidate state, it is obliged to co-ordinate its foreign and security policies with the European Union, especially sanctions against the Russian Federation.
On the other hand, even on the issue of talks with Kosovo, Serbia is obliged by the EU to reach a comprehensive agreement on normalisation of relations.
It was German federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz himself, who on his visit to Belgrade several months ago, said that “is unimaginable” for two countries that do not recognise each other to join the EU.
Scholz has suggested that the German stance is for Serbia to recognise Kosovo, and that Brussels' own dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia has this <x0 humanolog of logic”.
