Reuters: Iran agrees to send missiles, more fears towards Russia

Iran has promised to supply Russia with land-south missiles, except for more fears, two senior Iranian officials and two Iranian diplomats -- an initiative likely to anger the United States and other Western powers, Reuters writes. An agreement was reached on October 6th [...]
An agreement was reached on 6 October when Iran's first vice president, Mohammad Mokhber, two senior officials of Iran's Revolutionary Guard and an official from the Supreme National Security Council, visited Moscow for talks with Russia about handing over weapons.
“The Russians had demanded more Iranian clots and ballistic missiles with improved accuracy, especially the Fateh and Zolphaghar”, said one of the Iranian diplomats, who was informed of the trip.
A Western official informed of the issue confirmed, saying there was an agreement between Iran and Russia to offer short-range ballistic missiles of land-earth action, including Zolfhar.
Iranian diplomat dismissed Western officials' claims that such remittances violate a UN Security Council resolution in 2015.
Where they use it is not the question of the seller. We do not take sides in the Ukraine crisis as the West. We want an end to the crisis by diplomatic means”, The diplomat said.
Asked whether Russia had used Iranian drones in its fight in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin had no information about their use.
The showing of Iranian missiles in addition to fears at Moscow's arsenal in the war with Ukraine would increase tensions between Iran and the United States and other Western powers.
The US State Department estimated Iranian fears were used Monday in a morning attack on Ukrainian capital Kiev, an American official said. Karine Jean-Pierre's spokeswoman also accused Tehran of lying when she said Iranian fears are not being used by Russia in Ukraine.
Asked about the sales of Iranian land-land missiles to Russia, a senior US military official said: I have nothing to offer at this moment about whether this is correct at this point”
