From 64 percent in 2020, the alignment has now dropped to 45 percent.
These are the findings of the European Commission, namely the enlargement package and progress reports for Western Balkan countries, to be published tomorrow.
In the draft report, in which Serbian-language Free Europe Radio reports there has been access, it is underlined that Serbia has not respected sanctions against Russia, which the European Union put Moscow in response to aggression in Ukraine.
Agreement with Kosovo is crucial, urgent
A separate paragraph refers to the process of normalising relations with Kosovo.
It mentions that, in the past period, there has been a meeting of chief negotiators and a meeting at the level of leaders, Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti respectively.
However, it adds, there is no concrete progress in negotiations on a comprehensive and legally binding agreement.
Through this document, Kosovo and Serbia are invited to “without further delays” engage constructively and advance negotiations for a comprehensive, legally binding agreement on normalisation.
Reaching such an agreement is <x0 emergency and crucial”, according to the report, so that Kosovo and Serbia can progress on the European road.
