The report criticised work in Kosovo's Assembly, VV says it never had better results

Vetevendosje Movement MP Victory Pacolli has talked about the Progress Report by the European Commission, while considering that Kosovo's Assembly has never had better results. “From 2008 The European Commission annually has assessed the work of Kosovo institutions, out of 14 reports, this is the best report in the report [...]
“From 2008 The European Commission each year has praised the work of Kosovo institutions, out of 14 reports, this is the best report in relation to those of past years and the best in relation to countries in the region”.
The “Convention during the reporting period has broken the record with the number of adopted laws, ratified international agreements and legislative initiatives. Measurement of the assembly's success is done through results at the end, with the number of laws adopted”.
“From June 2021 to June 2022, the Assembly has adopted 123 laws among them 31 international agreements, while in previous years 53 laws have been adopted” said Pacolli.
Pacolli, at a news conference, said this is also the first report not to be identified with political interference and influence in many institutions in the country.
This is also the first report that does not identify political interference and political influence in the justice system, public administration, public broadcaster and independent agencies. This is the first report where much more progress is identified. As for the work of the Parliament even this year, it has been estimated that the Assembly has been influenced by a polarised political atmosphere and with difficulty to secure Quarum”, Pacolli said.
VV deputy Armend Muja said the good work of the Assembly was highly appreciated in the Progress Report, stopping at the opposition initiative to withdraw 30 percent of the tools from the Trust.
“On two specific occasions the European Commission comments on the approach of the Parliament, especially the majority in relation to the initiative to withdraw the Trust, we have taken a stand against it because we thought it was for the best of citizens, and this is also recognised by the Progress Report” said Muja.
Muja, among other things, said all achievements found in the Kosovo report are European Commission requirements year after year that have been met, praising Kosovo's work in many different sectors.
