The issue of INTERPOL and EUROOPOL membership is more political. You see, it hasn't been discussed for years. Without a progression of dialogue in Brussels, I don't think that we will have any chance of Kosovo joining more quickly in INTEPOL and EUROPOL, which is a political issue that would have to be a security issue”, Qalaj said in an interview for Online Economy.
While in the matter of police shares, Qalaj said it is good for the arrests to be carried out quietly so that the responsible organs can handle the case.
Former director Qalaj stressed that political influence by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in police is 100 percent, EO reports.
It's good for the arrests to be carried out without fuss, but to have evidence, to have evidence, and normally so that these cases will then go to the responsible bodies and receive punishment just as provided with the penal code. I think there is a need for security institutions to be more efficient in order to have less corruption and organised crime in the country. If we talk about the issues of political influence over the arrests, I don't believe or shouldn't have. But the political impact, especially of the ministry, is 100 percent in the police”, he added.
