As German medium “Deutsche Welle” reported on Wednesday, Putin said that now “topi” is on the side of the European Union.
“Topi is in the EU field. If they want to, then the faucets can be opened and that much”, Putin said at an energy forum in Moscow.
Germany said against the Russian gas supply due to its aggression against Ukraine.
Despite the possible sabotage of two pipelines, we have seen that Russia is no longer a reliable energy supplier”, said German Government spokeswoman Christiane Hoffman.
Russia banned gas deliveries through the Nord Stream gas pipeline 1 in early September, with the argument that there were technical problems.
Nord Stream 2 never became operational, as Germany approved its ban after the launch of Russian aggression in Ukraine on February 24th. Putin had declared that repair of the pipelines is possible, but that it remains between Russia and Europe to agree on the forward movement.
The Russian invasion prompted European buyers to start the process of giving up Russian oil and gas, seeking alternative suppliers.
