Asked whether this condition of France could delay visa liberalisation for Kosovo, and if this issue could take time, the EU policy expert said briefly that the ETIAS does not influence time.
He has also added that if there is political will then the visa liberalisation issue could be carried out soon.
“ETHIAS doesn't make time work, don't worry about it. The application has something else to do with it, it doesn't mean they pushed it. If there is political will, this job is done quickly, if not by the next spring, the”, Fethoshi said.
Otherwise, the European Commission has recommended visa liberalisation for Kosovo in 2018.
On October 12th of this year, this Commission has confirmed in the annual Progress Report that it supports the recommendation made to abolish visas for Kosovo and that the state has fulfilled all criteria.
