Parental rest proposal welcomed by fathers

The Kosovo Women's Network has proposed changing the labour law, so that even fathers will have the right to parental rest. The proposed model recommends that the first six months of permission be considered as permission of lehonia offered to mothers. During this period fathers will have one month's right [...]
This proposal is also being welcomed by fathers, who say that especially at birth, this would help mothers.
Andrew Ajvazi, a parent, says that he supports the proposal to change the law so that even fathers can get involved in parental rest.
I think it's good that not all European countries are worth it. Hardly had the bride that I wasn't, I'm the entrepreneur myself, I have my own business and it hasn't prevented me, it hasn't been a big problem for me, but for others I believe it's good to be why not. I supported him myself, why not”, he told Kosova Preris.
Meanwhile, one mother, Antigona Berisha, spoke of the issue as being reasonable, especially at the beginning of child rearing.
I find it reasonable to have men to rest. First, she needs a wife to have her husband next to her, and I'm in the mood for a break, and men”, she said.
Adnan Cannolly, on the other hand, said that he does not support this proposal because if he does not work, his family remains without income and in this crisis is unnecessary.
I thought it wouldn't be, it's not necessary. Women have their jobs, men have their jobs, if we stop, then there's no income. If we do the majority even the minority will go with the majority, but in my opinion not. It's those difficulties, but you do it somehow, every woman is strong and manages. Women are resting at home and men must work, and in this present crisis, one does not need to rest, not everyone resting. I have a home salary, and if I am at rest with my wife, then who will keep me, the government, or who's”, he's done.
The Women's Economic Forum, as a consortium of organisations, has proposed a model for the Labour Law, which would better adjust the needs of mothers, fathers and children, better balance the burden of compensation between the government and employers.
This model distributes child care more equally among parents and improves current provisions that are contributing to discrimination during employment, as can be seen in earlier RGK research. Furthermore, it will allow men to spend more time with their children.
RGK Executive Director Igballe Rogova said that “is the time to unite all and push ahead to adopt this law“.
As for the leukemia holiday, the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry has recommended that this holiday be covered 100% by the state for 12 months. Then, first in the 30 - day period before the birth of a female child, she can take her birth break and this 30 - day period will be covered by 100% of the current salary, but also allow the mother to continue rest for another three months if she wants to, in these cases the rest will be free of charge.
In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kosovo, they say they have received complaints about the current law and have demanded that this law be changed, for themselves the fact that its provisions make women discriminate, forcing private businesses to start being more selective during the recruiting process, as this is becoming a heavy burden for businesses.
