U.S.S.S.S.S.S.S against Nagavci: No lesson on Saturday

The United Education Union has rejected the decision of Minister Arberie Nagavci to change the school calendar, saying the lesson will not be organised on Saturday, October 15th, as envisioned with the new decision, to replace lost hours as a result of the September strike. At a media conference Thursday, SBASK leader Nundman Jasharaj has quickly named the decision on the new calendar without preliminary agreements with unionists.
The decision to compensate the hours was pressing by Minister Nagavci, since he has not respected the collective contract. Nagavci, instead of consultations with SBASK, has brought a unilateral decision. There will be no lesson this Saturday. We wait for the next few weeks to call us in. If there won't be meetings next week, we'll still respect the contract. In the event of the strike's suspension, we have expected the Government Ministry to dialogue, but they have continued with the old avaz”, Jasharaj said.
From August 25th to October 1st, educators were on strike, demanding additions from 100 euros per month to the law's entry into force for the salary. The strike was suspended without agreement with Government. The minister decided to replace hours by changing the school calendar. However, neither the United Education Union nor the parents nor the municipalities agreed with it. They are refusing to replace the lesson on Saturdays, recommending other solutions to be found.
With Nagavci's decision, it is scheduled to be delivered on Saturday.
