Kurti warns agreement with Serbia in less than two years

He said that about the DW when asked about the EU emissary's statement, Mirslav Lajcak, who said that “the window of opportunity” for Kosovo and Serbia is until 2024.
“Do you take this pull of the remark seriously?”, was the question to Kurti, who answered that he is ready for commitment “secretive” in talks with Serbia.
I agree we don't have much time and we live in times not only dangerous, but unpredictable. So I'm not even sure we have two years. We need to do it soon. For that, I am ready to engage creatively and constructively in these talks in Brussels whenever we are invited to”, Kurti said.
On Thursday in Pristina, Lajcak said Kosovo and Serbia should not abuse the possibility of reaching an agreement on normalising relations between them before the US and EU elections in 2024.
“We are not distracted by elections and we have the unique alliance of the European Union and the United States, strong support from the United Kingdom, all are focused on dialogue and all expect dialogue to produce normalisation. I wouldn't say that next year is crucial, but I've said more than once that we have this window of opportunity that will last until European and American elections in 2024. I think it's our responsibility not to waste this option”, Lajcak said.
To send the same messages and discuss the same issues that Kurti addressed in Pristina, Lajcak will travel to Belgrade on Monday.
