Kosovo's “Energy Corps. a. (KEK), based on the action measures taken (Government) for easing the energy crisis and referring to the recommendation of the Emergency Technical Committee, by the date: 20,10.2022 will begin the process of selling coal for citizens and businesses. To that end, KEK has shared an estimated 150,000 tonnes of coal in the South-West Sibovci mine, and this process is scheduled to be carried out within 60 calendar days”, the announcement said.

Also, KEK has indicated that the amount for a citizen is limited to a truck for 10 tons, while stressing that one ton of coal costs 15 euros.

This “KEK reports that the quantity of citizens is limited to a 10-ton truck. Moreover, KEK, in co-ordination with the Ministry of Economy, has set the 15m price for a ton of coal with TVS, without including the cost of loading and transporting. The loading and transport process will be carried out by an economic operator (OE) selected by KEK and cannot pass the 30m truck loading cost and the amount of $2.4 per km per transport”, the report said.

KEK has invited all interested people to use access to coal supplies to cope more easily with the increased cost of heating during winter season. /Periscopi/
